 About Us          

  Roots Originals, born in 2004, was a creative manifestation of herbalists Gillian Nye & Jacqueline Strock. Our partnership began as co-owners of Roots Herbal Apothecary , a small town herb store in Point Arena, California. We have been learning and living with the plants for over a decade.  We are both Mothers raising our kids on herbal teas and hugging trees. Our experiences include Jacqueline’s formal training in western herbalism at Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies and extensive hands-on experience in her own garden.  Gillian has been attending herbal symposiums for a dozen years & studying plants for as long as she can remember, founding a salve and balm business with two friends before partnering with Jacqueline at Roots.  Both have applied their own experiences and the knowledge learned  from wise womyn teachers to bring you Roots Originals, which began as a line of products for our Apothecary.
